I earned both my Bachelor &amp; Masters degrees in Speech &amp; Language Therapy (BSLP &amp; MSLP) from Department of Communication Disorders, University of Dhaka. I have worked with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, developmental language disorders, speech delay, cerebral palsy, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. In adult rehabilitation, I have provided assessment and intervention for people with aphasia, dysarthria, dysphagia, cognitive-communication disorders, and other neurological conditions following stroke and brain injury. My experience in hospital-based rehabilitation and special education settings has shaped a comprehensive understanding of multidisciplinary care.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\n\t\t<section class=\"ptc-about-section ptc-about-leadership\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"ptc-about-section-heading\"><p>Leadership<\/p><h2>Building accessible, high-quality services<\/h2><\/div>\n\t\t\t<p>Currently, I serve as the Co-founder and Director of Speech &amp; Language Therapy at Speech Aid Bangladesh Ltd. I lead a growing team of professionals dedicated to high-quality speech and language services, oversee clinical service delivery, supervise therapists, develop intervention programs, and design educational resources for families and professionals. I believe accessible, evidence-based services can significantly improve outcomes for people with communication disorders.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\n\t\t<section class=\"ptc-about-section ptc-about-innovation\" aria-labelledby=\"ptc-about-innovation-title\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"ptc-about-section-heading\"><p>Innovation<\/p><h2 id=\"ptc-about-innovation-title\">Assessment and play-based frameworks<\/h2><\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"ptc-about-innovation-grid\">\n\t\t\t\t<article><span>SLD-Pro\u00ae<\/span><h3>Individualized assessment planning<\/h3><p>I created the Speech Language Development Profile (SLD-Pro\u00ae), a comprehensive developmental assessment framework designed to support individualized intervention planning.<\/p><\/article>\n\t\t\t\t<article><span>P2C<\/span><h3>Communication growth through play<\/h3><p>I developed the Play to Communicate (P2C) program, integrating speech and language therapy with therapeutic play principles to promote communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and overall child development.<\/p><\/article>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\n\t\t<div class=\"ptc-about-two-column\">\n\t\t\t<section class=\"ptc-about-section\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"ptc-about-section-heading\"><p>Families and professionals<\/p><h2>Practical education and resources<\/h2><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<p>Beyond clinical practice, I contribute to professional education and public awareness. I have developed parent resources including phoneme-based flashcards, children\u2019s vocabulary materials, toy-function guides, developmental checklists, and autism screening resources. My goal is to give parents and caregivers practical tools that support communication development at home.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t<section class=\"ptc-about-section\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"ptc-about-section-heading\"><p>Research direction<\/p><h2>AAC, aphasia and language recovery<\/h2><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<p>My research interests focus on neurogenic communication disorders, particularly aphasia following stroke. I am especially interested in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), language recovery, Theory of Mind, and cognitive-communication rehabilitation. My long-term objective is to pursue doctoral research exploring innovative AAC interventions and culturally appropriate rehabilitation strategies for people with aphasia in Bangladesh and other multilingual settings.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t<section class=\"ptc-about-section ptc-about-training\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"ptc-about-section-heading\"><p>Interdisciplinary practice<\/p><h2>Learning across therapeutic approaches<\/h2><\/div>\n\t\t\t<p>I value lifelong learning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
